RESIDENTS AND FRIENDS OF HADLEY WOOD
IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO SUBMIT YOUR OBJECTION
Although the deadline of Tuesday 11 January has passed. Objections sent after the deadline will still count.
Community opposition to the large business development (care home) in the heart of Hadley Wood remains very strong.
By the formal deadline of midnight Tuesday 11 January, despite the short period and Covid and holidays, we reached 200 responses sent in to Enfield planners, expressing concerns about the oppressive need to resubmit as well as planning objections.
We know that many more residents would send responses if there was a longer period, including those who put in objections to the previous application.
HWA have confirmation from planners that “late” objections will be counted.
We reached 250 objections to the first application. We need to show that community opposition is still as strong, or even stronger in the face of the repeated application. 300 would make a huge impression.
PLEASE SEND YOUR OBJECTIONS if you have not already done so. If you have already sent one, please multiply the impact through additional Individual household members, neighbours and friends, and check that you sent a copy to HWA.
See template below for short objections. Please forward or attach your previous submissions. Or better, create objections in your own words.
PLEASE COPY OR FORWARD TO HWA to enable us keep track and ensure planners take them all into account.
We take the opportunity to thank all those who have helped with the campaign: delivering leaflets, publicising on our website, on social media and through our local group networks.
Details are below.

OBJECTION: 21/04176/FUL Hadley Wood 23-25 Crescent East
I object to this application for demolition of good houses, change of use from residential to commercial and the proposed development of a completely unsustainable, inappropriate and massive care home building which is not needed in the heart of Hadley Wood.
I repeat in full my objections to the same proposals in the previous application 20/02170/FUL, which covered the Revised Application (identical to the current application) withdrawn in July 2021. ATTACHED.
I fully support the objections made on behalf of the community by Hadley Wood Association.
YOU NAME & ADDRESS
Please see our leaflet which was delivered to all residents. If you did not put in objections last time, you can add your voice now. See second page of leaflet for points of objection - choose and use in your own words.
Each household member can object individually. So can non-residents (but explain connection to Hadley Wood, eg tennis or church member). Please encourage family, friends and neighbours to add to our volume of objections.
The renewal of the same application, withdrawn in July, is oppressive. Barchester are ignoring the 250 objections you sent in last time. We must show the planners that the community remains in full opposition.
