The Hadley Wood Association exists for all residents of Hadley Wood.  Its overall aims are to build a strong community and make Hadley Wood a better place to live and to work.  Our commitments and activities include:
  • leasing, maintaining and protecting 27 acres of green space in the heart of Hadley Wood for all of us to use and enjoy (and the Members Car Park off Crescent East);
  • HWA annual fireworks display;
  • running and maintaining the HWA Centre, allowing our users – the tennis club and bridge club – to thrive and offer their services to you; 
  • focussing on crime prevention through our Security Committee in partnership with Hadley Wood Security, Neighbourhood Watch and the Metropolitan Police;
  • providing an office for Hadley Wood Security staff;
  • monitoring planning issues in Hadley Wood and supporting the Neighbourhood Planning Forum;
  • addressing important local issues, such as the Treegate Campaign which (in partnership with the HW Rail User Group) successfully tackled Network Rail over the wholesale removal of trackside trees;
  • producing, printing and delivering Hadley Wood News to all households in Hadley Wood every other month.
 
However there is even more that the HWA wants to do for our community in the short- to mid-term. Plans include updating the HWA Centre, hosting more community events, opening the Centre’s bar on a regular basis for residents, and – as mentioned already – building an office to house the Metropolitan Police Officers responsible for our Ward.
 
We have collaborated with all the local businesses to put together our membership benefits package.
