The Hadley Wood Association, a registered charity, exists to enhance the lives of residents and friends of Hadley Wood. It promotes education by providing pre-school facilities, supports social welfare by providing recreation and leisure time facilities and hosts a Warm hub. It enhances, preserves and protects the local environment. With the support of your membership, we:
  • Lease, protect and maintain 27 acres of green space in the heart of Hadley Wood, ensuring it remains available for all residents to enjoy, at a cost of over £20,000 per year.
  • Run and maintain the HWA Centre & Sports Field, home to the tennis and bridge clubs, Alphablocks Nursery and other community clubs such as Spasta Greek Dance and PowerHause Football Academy.
  • Organise community events such as the annual fireworks display. We aim to increase community events and open the bar more regularly but need volunteers.
  • Support local crime prevention by collaborating with Hadley Wood Security and Neighbourhood Watch and providing an on-site base for the patrol team.
  • Monitor local planning and Green Belt issues, support the Neighbourhood Planning Forum, and engage in important local campaigns e.g., Save Our Green Belt and Treegate.
  • Produce and distribute Hadley Wood News bi-monthly to all households.
Maintaining these activities, particularly the green space and HWA Centre for all to enjoy, costs well over £50,000 per year. Your membership plays a vital role in sustaining these efforts. We are also planning a phased refurbishment of the HWA Centre to provide updated, more functional facilities.

We have collaborated with all the local businesses to put together our membership benefits package.
A special ‘thank you’ to AbsolutePrint for sponsoring the production of the cards.

If you would like to get involved with – and brings new ideas to – the HWA Committee, please contact us by e-mail at [email protected]
