 ISOLATION – OYSTER – ACCESSIBILITY

Hadley Wood is in London Travelcard Zone 6 but its train service is its only daily public transport, so good and reliable services are essential for residents and businesses.
There is also an hourly shoppers’ bus to High Barnet between 1000 and 1400 on weekdays and Saturdays which offers a hail-and-ride service within Hadley Wood.
For cyclists, the Great North Cycleway starts at Hadley Wood Station, and cycle racks were installed at the station in 2016.

The Shoppers’ Bus – Route 399 http://www.londonbusroutes.net/times/399.htm

The Great North Cycleway runs north through countryside from Hadley Wood to the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border using quiet lanes and traffic free sections - a 32 mile ride. As its website notes, you may not want to cycle all of the route, but why not ride part of it, or even cycle one way and take the train back. https://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/route/great-north-way
