Black Panther School of Japanese Karate and the family journey!
Hello I am Christine Alleyn- Shihan and we are teaching karate at the Hadley Wood Association Centre on a Thursday and would love you to come and join us!
Here’s a little about my family in karate; I started training in Karate at the age of 9 and I have great experience in Shotokan Karate, I am a 6th Dan Black Belt with 45 years’ experience and I also have experience in Nunchaku, Jujitsu & self-defence. My mother Lilian Sensei is the one who started us all off in karate as a family and we trained for many years before opening our own club SJK in 1978, having gained a 7th Dan Black belt in Karate. In honour of my late parents Shihan Dave and Sensei Lilian I have combined both my club Black Panther and School of Japanese together to make the club we know today.
I have two daughters, who are both high Dan Black Belts and have been training in karate for many years, they both teach at all of the venues that we run 7 days a week. We also have other teachers in our team who have been in the club for many years and have been taught up to Black belt by us all. Dave Sempai my partner is one before Black belt and helps within the club.
Our newsiest exciting Karate venue to open is our Thursday class being held at the Hadley Wood Association Centre. We welcome everyone from age 3 to 70+, see above for full details, we are all here to help you and your family gain confidence in a friendly atmosphere!
The children in our club have great fun learning the art of Karate as well as a few karate games to keep them happy. We introduce discipline and structure into the class and when they are ready, they grade through to their next belts, Children are told that they must not hurt others and they are learning this martial art to help protect themselves. I have had many hundreds of Children through our doors who have gone on to be fantastic adults with great careers. I am so proud.
